An Exciting Experience at Great American Ball Park

On a recent outing to the Cincinnati Reds baseball game, students from Dohn’s Athletic Program were treated to an unforgettable experience, thanks to the generosity of the Reds Community Fund.

Some students commented that they had never been to an actual live professional game, and they were in awe as they immersed themselves in the thrilling world of America’s favorite pastime.

Although the weather was a bit overcast and it sprinkled here and there, students did manage to find some cover. As they settled into their seats, they were pleasantly surprised to receive food vouchers so they could indulge in some ballpark favorites while cheering on their favorite team.

The enthusiasm of the crowd was infectious, and our students were fully engaged from start to finish. The girls brought an extra level of energy, cheering so loudly that they were featured not once, but twice, on the jumbotron. This only fueled their excitement further, with hugs, cheers, and smiles all around.

The young men, true aficionados of the sport, took it upon themselves to analyze the game like seasoned sports commentators. With an in-depth knowledge of player stats and strategies, they added an extra layer of insight to the experience, enriching the game for those around them.

Overall, the opportunity for Dohn students to attend the Cincinnati Reds game was nothing short of amazing. It provided a chance for them to bond outside of the classroom, forming a new – and needed – camaraderie with their classmates. This event created lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Reds Community Fund who made this experience possible, and we look forward to many more adventures together in the future.
